I graduated from Frostburg in May with my degree in history. Rather than going to Momma's to work at some restaurant before going to Mexico in August as per the plan, I decided to stay in Frostburg to stay with good ole Clint. We have been dating since April and as of... May I was not ready to turn that relationship into a long distance one. So I worked at a restaurant in Frostburg with some really great people. Getting into July I started thinking about what I'd like to be doing. The arguments were either go to Mexico, leave Clint, drain my savings, but live with two of my best friends who make me love life OR find a job around Frostburg, get a little experience and stay with Clinton. So I kept my eye on the papers looking for a job, and if I happened to find one and get hired, then that was it, Mexico off, Frostburg on. Lo and behold, "HS Spanish and Math teachers needed. Send resume to..." Long story short, I got the job at Bishop Walsh School, a PreK-12 Catholic school on a hill in Cumberland, MD, and Mexico was offsies. Wah wah.
So here I am, teaching Spanish (and one history class) at BW and being a grown up. I have a wonderful apartment in Frostburg and a few wonderful new friends and my Clint. That's pretty much it for the logistics of my life, can be summed up in two sentences.
Right now I am anxiously anticipating a recently planned trip to Mexico over Easter break and watching "That Thing You Do" on tv.
I will post more about a super top secret subject tomorrow once it is released to the public.
